I, Reader. The title of a series examining the interplay of creative reading and web participation. It is a first cut at a larger writing project I am writing offline. Expect more on this one.
Slow Reading. Slow Reading is my book. It developed out of posts and dialogue from an earlier version of this blog, as well as an independent research as part of a Master of Library and Information Science. I then re-wrote and expanded this material into the book. It is available from Litwin Books. You can still read the earlier materials.
OpenBook WordPress Plugin. OpenBook is a software plugin that inserts a book cover image, title, author, and other book data from Open Library into a WordPress post, page or widget. It creates links to book sites, and provides COinS for integration with other software such as the Zotero research tool. Users have complete control over the display through templates. FuzzyCat OPAC Crawler. FuzzyCat is a prototype crawler of web-based library catalogues. The alpha product demonstrated that it could crawl ten distinct library catalogues used by hundreds of libraries. The project has been suspended, at least for now. Learn more.
