He mentioned Newman's view that a library student should try to specialize in an area. At that point, I decided to specialize my library writing in the area of slow reading. I have since diversified my writing here, but the idea definitely has merit. I still think you should write, "Jason's Unofficial Guide to Library School", in the spirit of Will Ferguson's "I Was a Teenage Katimavictim". You've got all the material.
